Laptop won't start window xp.?

my laptop died because it run out of batteries. when i plugged it surrounded by to start back up. the laptop started, but when window started, it flashed a blue screen consequently went to a entity that said that it failed and give me five options start surrounded by safe mode. not dangerous mode with meet people, and another safe mode alternative. then one chance to start with recent settings next one to start regularly. i've tried all of these next to the same result. window will get to the loading blind and when the bar go through the second time, it will flash a blue screen and afterwards take me rear to the menu. can anyone help?
