is the ati worth $100 more?

Answer:

yes its worth it if u want decent graphics power for games and things ... it will also proly be harder on mobile so it depends on what ur going to be doing really ...
Get the PCI express one. The integrated/shared memory video cards are crap!!
well near a laptop you can change out the video card exact laptop do not have expansion ports for hardware approaching that . so you have to stay near what comes in the laptop
One earth-shattering thing to details with the integrated graphics card is that it is tabled as shared memory. This means that it will be using your computers RAM to process video, which your computer can't use for other things.
While the ATI is not the best you can acquire (and the $100 margin is more than you in general see) if u're going to play games (pretty much anything recent) you have no other leeway. If you primarily use it for day to daylight tasks like browsing, watching DVDs, and conceivably light gaming bring the integrated graphic.
Yes the faithful card is much better. You can only play most games at a low even with a shared memory. This is strictly from the perspective of games.
