Is it possible to use it as a webcam on MSN messenger?
i know you can enjoy video conversations with Apple's iChat AV but you requirement a .mac account.

yes you can because i enjoy a macbook and ppl can see me and with yahoo messenger to. it is first and formost a webcam consequently its a camera.
The simple answer is No, MSN IM doesn't support Apple hardware.
Maybe that's because they are competitors.
Check out Skype VoIP, it supports chat video on both Windows and Mac. It's the only app that worked for me.
I'm not sure just about MSN, but you can also use iChat with an AIM statement, not just a .mac justification.
