Laptop users..?

i play a audition and to press some of the arrows i have need of to use the numpad but i have a laptop so i dont' really enjoy one..i DO have a knob that says scroll and at the bottom of the word ((but on like peas in a pod button)) it says num lk surrounded by a rectangle. i keep pressing it but the street light above the key won't pale up.

does anyone know how to activate the numpad?

ty exceptionally much!

Answer:

Depending on the manufacturer, the answer may vary. If Num Lk is in a different color than the note keys, you probably own to press and hold the key stained Fn (or something similar, usually near the bottom vanished of the keyboard) while you press the key distinct Num Lk.

On IBM and some Lenovo notebooks, Num Lk is toggled on and past its sell-by date by holding Shift while pressing the Num Lk key.

If that doesn't work, try some combinations of CTRL and Num Lk or Alt and Num Lk.
click FN + F12
press fn + num lc

fn is usually subsequent to cntrl
