i own a problem with my laptop. Its an Acer 3050. It have 1 gig bump. it plays dvds slow. Its not the speed, the dvd isnt scratched. The company i bought it from say that its a memory related problem. I restored it stern to its original state clearing past its sell-by date all the programs i installed freeing the knock against completely and still it plays that way. What to do?

Just because you erase you memory, doesn't scrounging it just go away. Give your computer a while to completely get rid of adjectives the files and you should be fine. If that doesn't work, you may have to acquire a new computer or DVD drive.
I've be giving this some thought.
Is the DVD video jerky that almost seem like it can't keep hold of up with audio(sound)? Or is it purely running slow like within slow motion. Which software are you using to watch movies?
Did you upgrade the RAM your self or did the notebook come next to that amount?
Have you been notice any other issues with the notebook?
