Laptop doesn't play R2 DVD?

I bought my laptop from currys (uk) and own just discovered that it won't play my R2 DVD's. (It lately says it's not the correct region, I don't know what region the laptop will play).

I'm 100% sure my DVD's are R2 and lawful.

Is there any software or anything I can receive to play R2 DVD's on the laptop?

Thanks.
