I hold a ez4430 hp laptop computer I have a brand new hd for it and the IDE is not the same i want to know if the plastic cease on the old drive comes bad for the new drive<>?
Answer:
Usually you can cart the connector off of the out-of-date hard drive and put it onto the current one. Unless one is ide and one is sata, contained by that case they're completly different and not interchangable.
Yes, as long as the infirm drive is also an IDE drive, there may be for a while plastic piece that can be removed, this will reveal the pins like yoiu see on the current hard drive, and you can put that piece onto the alien one, and it will fit into your laptop without a problem.
u enjoy a new IDE drive.. but is it a laptop drive? you don't right to be heard. if its a normal desktop drive, u obligation to put it in an ring and run it via usb.
if its internal, depends on the laptop drive, the one in mine is powered from the pins on the drive and purely plugs in..
if the drive is mounted on something which is also removable, later yes u have to switch the mounting to the alien drive. and it should go surrounded by the same passageway. I think mine have a metal shield over it as well, later you replace that.
you basically do like thing as taking the dated one out, but in reverse steps.
