I want to buy a laptop, but in that are so many choices for processors. Duel 2080 and tons more. What do you think is the right processor if I want to use the laptop for reading light work (accounting, word processing etc.). I will not be using it for audio visual stuff. Thank you for your assistance.
Answer:
I would not concern myself nearly the processor, as it is a minor consideration based upon the applications you intend on using the laptop for. The applications you describe can be done on a amazingly old Pentium 3 processor.
I would concentrate more on the type of laptop that would work best for your requirements ... Ultraportable, Thin-and-light, Mainstream, Desktop replacement/gaming laptops or Budget laptops.
The first thing to desire is what features are most important .. size, consignment, battery time, display size, media needed (DVD write, compact disc write, ) etc. Once you have that figure out then you can settle on which type laptop would best meet your requirements. Then check out a couple offerings from Dell, HP, Toshiba, Acer or IBM (Lenovo). Once you have done that it should simplify making the best choice for your requests.
you buy the centrino series laptop for your work or any current cpu core 2duo mobile technology that is core2duo 1.6 ghz
i guess intel core2 duo is not discouraging option ...if u dont want to spend much money on it ..i have really good exp near AMD too
Intel makes the best processors.
