Laptop Charger wont work...?

Must I buy a clean one?

Answer:

Test the unit near a multimeter (radio shack - aprox $30).

If it works, then the problem is within your laptop - could be a DC powerjack (most likely)

Check my past postings, near are numerous descriptions of how to troubleshoot these symptoms.

Best of success
are you sure its the charger?

Try this:

A) plugging contained by the charger into your laptop and the wall

- see if the transformer gets hot, if so, after it is receiving activeness

B) if its cold, then you necessitate a new charger

C) if A) is true, consequently try seeing if the connect from the charger to the laptop is not bent/broken, lookin in the hole on your laptop beside a flashlight. Also, bending the wire surrounded by a certain direction too much might own made it so it ONLY works in that direction, try putting it contained by the position that it is most often contained by.

D) Your laptop battery could be shot. Regardless of A)B) or C), filch it to a store that sells your laptop, preferably the manufacturer's store if it exists, and ask them to aid you see if your battery is shot. Best buy will also back you with this, regardless if they go it or not.
