Laptop wadding while watching online video and rebooting or logging of system take eons.?

My Laptop:

Dell Inspiron E1505

Processor: Intel Core2Duo 2.00 GHz

Ram: 1 gb

Video Card: ATI mobility radeon X1400+256mb memory

Wide blind (1900 X 1050 resolution)

The system laggs like hell when i try watching video online. The CPU usage is always around 0-5%,But something call as commit charge shows the number to be 1484M/2456M.I scanned my computer for virus, spyware and other malware using multiple securtiy softwares;close to:norton,spysweep... etc..Nothing showed up in here.Whenever i try to reboot or shutdown, the system hangs near only the wallpapers showing on the screen(no taskbar or icon on screen). If anybody could help near some kinda tweaking or anything it would be wonderful. There might be a possibility that some hardware drivers are corrupt(checked various components;adjectives seem to be fine) ,dunno what i might enjoy missed.

Thanks in mortgage.

Answer:

The best thing is in recent times reinstall windows short wasting time on trial and error methods and also install VLC mediaplayer for watching videos.
is this a streaming video? its purely normal to own lag since it take time to download the whole stuff from the network. Are you using a wireless connection over a WEP/WAP? Cause added warranty over a wireless connection could also explanation intermittent connection. You could also try booting to safemode near networking, if it works fine in that then you'll hold to monitor the programs that open up during a everyday start up. Keep on tapping F8 once you start your computer and you'll know how to see the boot options in that. Choose safemode with network.
